“It has always been about creating a piece of beauty from my heart that keeps me looking for the next art project, mentally searching for the ultimate masterpiece. I simply can’t remember ever not drawing or painting, from the time I learned how to use a pencil or lay down colors with a crayon. Now, I can’t imagine life without using my imaginative skill and I continue to devote the majority of my life to art as a practicing artist. The desire to create beauty keeps me inspired and drawn to realism with subjects such as people, still life, animals, buildings and scenery. But whatever the subject, I strive to instill emotion and meaning into my colored pencil paintings and graphite drawings – for the enjoyment of my collectors, and those viewing my art.”

Kathy LilyField was born and raised in Southern Idaho . While growing upon a small farm, she discovered her passion for art and found that drawing was a great way to fill time. She is primarily self-taught, catching a few classes or work shops, while mainly studying from books and teaching herself through constant practice.

After working and traveling nearly seven years in South America, she returned to Southern Idaho in 1998. Her travels have inspired her to create an ever-broadening diversity of subjects. Kathy spends
